The need to collaborate has never been greater to build that critical mass required to attract foreign investment, build economies of scale and repatriate our talent.

The world is changing rapidly everyday

The rapid pace of economic and social change, including the rise of developing countries, is forcing us to more effectively stimulate, communicate and apply new ideas. Importantly, there is no consensus around which ideas should be used.

Vinod is helping to transform the way we work, learn, connect, and problem-solve in Ottawa through his work at The HUB.

A Global Shaper selected by the World Economic Forum, Vinod is Executive Director and Co-Founder of HUB Ottawa. Part of the global HUB network spanning 40 cities, HUB Ottawa is a coworking community, learning academy and incubator optimized for people, projects and organizations bettering the world. As one of Canada's largest coworking spaces driving social innovation, HUB Ottawa includes 250+ members working in 30+ disciplines including: arts and culture, sustainability, design, technology, education, marketing, green energy and more. 

Vinod believes the future of learning, knowledge creation, and innovation is through collaboration. He has a history of developing and executing learning programs and shared value strategies in not-for-profit, philanthropic, private and social enterprise sectors. 

Vinod is a recipient of The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his contribution to Canada. He was recently appointed to the Advisory Council of Imagine Canada, and Chairs the World Economic Forum project "What has Social Innovation Done for You Lately?". His background includes a B.Eng. in Aerospace Engineering from Carleton University and a M.Sc. in Public Policy from the University of Bristol in the UK.
